Night Sky

If you have the night sky available to you: walk outside, look up, notice. What stars do you see? Planets? Where is the moon in the sky? Can you draw any constellations with your eyes? What other patterns do you notice?

If you are not able to walk outside at any time, Imagine the night sky:

The night air is warm. Your toes sink lightly into the sand as you gaze up at the sky above you. The milky way swoons above you in an arc from one side of your view to the other. On either side of the milky way, clusters of stars align themselves into intricate patterns and in around these patterns are endless dots of lights as stars seem to randomly position themselves in the night sky. Notice the stars’ light as they twinkle. Perhaps you see a falling star, or a satellite. Allow yourself to be filled with child-like delight and wonder as you notice the stillness and amazement of the night sky.
